You know I’ve decided that I’m going to go on my merry ass way.

I’m tired of friends who will turn around and be flat out NASTY and will be your enemy at any given moment.

• Didn’t pick up the phone? “It’s on.” 
• Said something they didn’t like? “I’m going to put you on trial.” 

That’s how it’s been lately. I’m constantly on trial. Every move, every breath, every BLINK - is filed under SUSPICIOUS and is investigated. It’s actually a no win situation. You have no voice in these situations. Why would I want to argue with someone who clearly LETS U KNOW that what ever he sees and thinks is god’s honest truth. It has been a losing battle for years.

As Ronnie Day sings “There’s more to life than knowing scores.” And somehow I ended up friends with score keepers. I’m a network sport! With commentary and everything! Another quote I love is “Accept no one’s definition of your life.” So, I’ve put my index finger on my third eye, popped out that NEGATIVE tape that has been playing over and over and I’m burning it in the fireplace.

Relationships aren’t a competitive sport. No one is going to win the gold medal - ever. If there are people in your life who want to tell you who you are (and it’s never nice, believe me.) and basically that there is no hope for you EVER.. I want you to laugh at them and tell them you’re leaving. And maybe, just maybe, if the light eventually turns on in their head, they can possibly be redeemed back into your life.

But more likely than not, that message will just turn into another cheap little comment from them, ending with a smiley face left to make you feel uneasy, insecure, and a loser. After all didn’t you know your relationship was in fact a relay race? And didn’t you know that they were the victors “all the way around”? Whenever your built up, brace for that tongue lashing that will crumble your whole building. It’s like living under constant fear that they will PUSH THE BUTTON and the whole world will explode.

We’re so concerned with our physical health we absolutely neglect our mental health. “Mind over matter”… isn’t that the truth?
